Making Scents for Back to School as seen on Lowcountry Live! on ABC News 4

Hello Friends,

This morning we made this fun back to school recipe. Find some fun fabric that represents your personality or college team and then cut it into a couple of squares about 6" in diameter. Niki found some cool peace signs at Hancock Fabric and this morning we made a Michigan sachet for Dave, the Ohio State fan! Ha! The first thing you do is dab some essential oil on three cotton balls. Don't saturate the cotton or it will bleed onto your fabric. Just a few drops will do. We love Rosemary and all the natural herbs like sage and tea tree oil. You can use lemon or grapefruit or any other of the millions of scents. Next you put one scoop of salt right in the center of your fabric. This gives it weight so it sits nice. Then you put the scented cotton right on top of the salt, fold up the fabric and then tie with a matching ribbon. Voila! You've got a team favorite scented sachet for your dorm room or locker or car!

Also-niki leigh parties are super easy and fabulously fun so please give us a call if you're interested in having one at your house or the Children's Museum. 843-442-6242.
